Burlington.

I was supposed to have a nice, long 28 hour layover in Burlington this weekend, but this is the airlines, and I ended up having just a 24 hour layover which included me getting to my hotel at 4 am and leaving the next day at 4 am. Our tours of the Ben & Jerry factory and Magic Hat Brewery were cancelled, but we went to Church street and had fun anyway. I found a new friend (and it was not the little girl, that's for sure) and witnessed some breathtaking views of the lake. On our last day of work, I finally learned how to make fortune tellers out of paper. I'd say it was a productive trip.

pirogi union cart! I had a lengthy conversation with this awesome girl. She's a gardener.

Finally, my future can be told.

project before work: legwarmers & an update

I found this amazing vintage turtleneck at the thrift store yesterday and I only thought one thing: legwarmers!

So I got to work this afternoon, and after some minor setbacks (sewing machine decided it didn't want to work properly..) I finished them!

and rocky helped! well, sort of.

I noticed today that Rocky, my foster cat, likes to be in the same room as me. Whenever I go into the kitchen, he eventually makes his way there and notices his food. He just recently discovered my bean bag chair and is mesmerized by the beads. He plays with it all day, trying to figure out what's inside..

Prior to the 4th, Kevin and I went down to see my pets.. and I guess my family, too. I decided they needed to be festive, so I put red bandannas on all three of them. Chip was just ecstatic about the bandanna, Eli could care less and Raisin was absolutely miserable. Unfortunately, Eli is camera shy so there is no picture of him.

Raisin (the cat) literally sulked around my house until we took it off of her. Cats are funny.

Anyway, I'm really pushing it - I need to get ready for work! Time to go to Bozeman. See ya!
