Character Building.

It happens to everyone - someone out there just doesn't like you.

I recently had a co-worker write horrible stuff about me and my physical appearance. At first, it hurt a lot. I have always been insecure about certain features of my body and to see it in writing (on Facebook, nonetheless) was horrifying. But then I realized something. Sure, maybe I have these imperfect features on my body.. but that doesn't define me for who I am!

I decided to brush it off. Instead of reacting and confronting him, I decided to use it as fuel. Finally, someone has made me face my fears. Someone has told me what I've been fearing all along - that I'm ugly. And you know what? It's not that bad! I actually feel relieved!

Now, you may be wondering: what could I have possibly done to warrant such hurtful words against me? My answer to that is simple: what ever it was, no one should ever take to the internet and slander someone's physical appearance to hundreds of people, including co-workers. Not only is that  unprofessional to the extreme, it also shows bad character. Also: welcome to being a flight attendant. It's highschool 2.0 for some people!

I will leave you with some great inspirational quotes and prints. They are all incredibly true!

  1. I love all these quotes! That's so stupid what that guy did. You're not ugly at all and even if you were horrific and monsterly(not a word, I don't know), there's still no reason to do that.
That's so cool that you're a flight attendant! I used to want to be one but after tons of research, I thought it'd be too competitive since I don't have a degree or speak any other languages.
I can't wait to read more about your adventures!

P.S. Don't let idiots like that guy bother you.

  2. Thanks for your kind words!!!

Being a flight attendant at this time isn't that competitive! It has been in the past, but right now, my airline especially is hiring constantly. You don't need to speak any other languages or have a degree! Let me know if you want any more info! :)

  3. Yeah, I'd definitely like more info! I read this one flight attendant's blog but other than that, I've never had the chance to meet on. It'd love to hear what it's like and stuff! :)
